On 16 November 2025, J.A.D.S. Priyangika Wijegunasekara, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Jordan, visited the Amman SOS Children’s Village, a national non-profit social development organization established in 1983. The Village provides alternative care for children and youth who lack parental support, offering family- and community-based homes in Amman.

During the visit, Ambassador Wijegunasekara presented Ceylon tea, Sri Lankan snacks, and books authored by Sri Lankan writers to Rana Al Zoubi, National Director of the Association, and the management team as a gesture of goodwill. Officials from the Sri Lankan Mission also participated in the event.
