- The document should be attested by the Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sri Lanka through the Electronic Documents Attestation System (EDAS).
- The Mission can also receive and upload the documents from applicant to the Branch Document Attestation System (BDAS) on behalf of the Consular Affairs Division. After the documents are attested by the Consular Affairs Division, a customer copy is generated and sent to the applicant via the email, or it can be collected from the Embassy.
- The applicant needs to provide the electronic customer copy, including the attestation reference issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sri Lanka, to the Embassy for Embassy attestation.

- BDAS authentication – JOD 27.000
- Embassy attestation – JOD 31.000
(According to the circular instructions by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the stamp on the attested document is valid only for one year from the date of issue.)
- Any document issued by a foreign authority or agency will be accepted for attestation ONLY IF such document is attested by the Foreign Ministry of the issuing country and subsequently by the Sri Lankan Embassy/Consulate in that same country.

- Any document issued by the Government of Jordan should be certified by the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan before submission to this Embassy for attestation or legalization.

- The owner of the document should physically be present at the Embassy
